Honda Activa Electric: Exclusive Launch in Select Cities – Discover Its Standout Features

Honda has officially unveiled its first electric scooter, the Honda Activa Electric, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward sustainable mobility. This eagerly anticipated model is set to revolutionize urban commuting with its innovative features and eco-friendly design.

Limited Availability: Initial Launch Cities

In the initial phase, the Activa e: will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in February 2025, with plans to expand to other cities at a later stage.

Impressive Range and Performance

The Activa e: is equipped with a pair of 1.5kWh swappable batteries, collectively delivering a claimed range of 102 km on a full charge. These batteries power a 6kW permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that produces 22Nm of peak torque. The scooter offers three riding modes—Econ, Standard, and Sport—with a top speed of 80 km/h in Sport mode. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.

Advanced Features for Modern Riders

The Activa e: comes equipped with a large seven-inch TFT screen featuring a host of connectivity options facilitated by the Honda RoadSync Duo smartphone application. The display supports navigation and can be controlled via toggle switches on the handlebar, with both day and night modes available. Additionally, Honda’s H-Smart key features are integrated, including Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock, and Smart Start.

Practical Design and Hardware

Riding on 12-inch alloy wheels suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs, the Activa e: ensures a comfortable journey. Braking is handled by a disc-drum combination, providing reliable stopping power. The scooter will be available in five color options: Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, and Pearl Igneous Black.
